Campgrounds

Camping in the Adirondacks is an experience like non other in the northeastern United States. Why? Because with over six million acres of wilderness, there is hardly any man-made lighting. So at night you'll see stars like you've never seen them before. Billions of tiny lights so bright and clear you can almost touch them... a true Adirondack light show! Facilities range from full service campgrounds located near villages, to primitive sites that are only accessible by boat. In addition to the many private campgrounds, the NYSDEC manages campgrounds throughout the Adirondack Park, and all of these sites require advance reservations. So pick your favorite setting, on a lake or a river, near a golf course or an amusement park. There's an Adirondack campground that is perfect for you.
