The people have spoken and Pat McKeown's video featuring a
whimsical weekend trip to the Adirondacks, titled The
Lake has been chosen as the grand prize winner of the My
Places in the Adirondacks Video Contest. McKeown will
receive GORE-TEX gloves, footwear and hats valued at
$500.
The video - taken at different locations around
Ticonderoga and Wilsboro was originally intended for
friend's eyes only, McKeown said.
"I made it for the people who attended the party, and my
friend whose family owns the home mentioned in the
contest," McKeown said. "I sent it off as a lark."
The rest of the world can now view the one-minute feature
by logging onto VisitAdirondacks.com. The video features
brief moments from the McKeown family's first but not
last - visit to the Adirondacks.
"We are looking forward to coming back coming back for
some skiing up at Gore and renting a house on Brandt Lake
next year." McKeown said.
The Grand Prize winner was chosen from four finalists, who
were selected from a pool of 30 entries in four separate
categories: family and friends, scenic beauty, wildlife
and pets and recreation. McKeown's video was the finalist
in the friends and family category.
