Driving along Raquette Lake to Great Camp Sagamore I came across an atypical example of the laid-back lifestyle we enjoy here in the Adirondacks: a beaver lodge with a satellite dish mounted on top. I kid you not! My driving companion and I both saw it and tried to capture it with our cell phone cameras, but they just didn’t do it justice.
If you are driving along Rt. 28, look for this Adirondack Great Camp of a beaver lodge on the south side of the highway in a marshy area. If anyone gets a good photo of this, drop me an e-mail at ann(at)adk.com so we can add it to the Adirondack Guide.
