Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center

Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center

Tucked away in a unique snow basin in the heart of snow country, Lapland Lake was founded by former US Olympian, Olavi Hirvonen, and has been operating year-round since 1978. Experience the vast Adirondack Preserve while gliding through majestic forests, alongside scenic streams and lakes while catching glimpses of the native wildlife. In the winter months, visitors can come for the day or lodge overnight and experience the award-winning cross-country ski center. The majority of trails are one-way, providing skiers and snowshoers with a peaceful woodland experience. Lake Trail is illuminated nightly exclusively for the use of overnight guests. 50km of scenic ski & snowshoe trails are surrounded by the pristine southern Adirondack Forest Preserve. Lapland Lake offers a two-story warming lodge, rental-retail shops, PSIA ski instruction, children's tubing, ice-skating, and food service. During the spring, summer, and fall seasons overnight guests have access to the 70-acre, non-motor lake with private sandy beach. Woods Lake offers swimming, fishing, kayaking & canoeing with complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, rowboats and paddle boats. The 30-mile private trail system is available for hiking & mountain biking, and the 3-mile self-guided nature trail is a delight for children and adults alike.
