Feb 04, 2010

2010 Olympic Event TV Schedule

ADIRONDACK REGION, NY - This year, the Adirondack Region of Northern New York will send a dozen athletes to the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. What is it about this region that produces so many world-class athletes? There's something about its majestic mountains! So if you can't make it to Vancouver this year, Lake Placid's world-class Olympic village is the perfect place to create your own winter sports experience.

"Be a Biathlete" - Mount Van Hoevenberg provides a Biathlon experience that combines freestyle skiing and rifle marksmanship. Take a freestyle ski lesson for an hour, them meet at the Olympic shooting range to zero in on your shooting skills.

Ski the "Olympic Mountain" - Located in nearby Wilmington, Whiteface Mountain Ski Center boasts the greatest vertical drop in the east and has been experiencing a banner snow year. Lift ticket specials and "Why Not Wednesdays" offer added value.

A Thrilling Bobsled Ride - Whirl down the breathtaking Olympic Track with a professional driver and brakeman at the Olympic Sports Complex in Lake Placid. Open Wednesdays through Sundays until April, this heart-pounding ride is an outstanding never forget experience. Each passenger gets a team USA T-shirt, a membership to the U.S. Bobsled & Skeleton Federation, a ticket to a World Championship event and so much more all for the price of a singleThe ticket.
