Dining in the Adirondacks

You are here: What to Do > Attractions > Dining

Discovering a new restaurant is one of the best parts of any vacation. In the Adirondack Region, dining out is always an exciting and new experience. Breakfast may find you feasting on perfectly prepared pancakes overlooking a mountain lake, or sipping coffee at a café, enjoying the peaceful calm of morning from the balcony of your Adirondack hotel.

At mid-day, slow down with a meal at any one of the Adirondacks' pubs, restaurants or bistros. Sample native delights such a freshly caught trout, venison and local farm raised bison - not to mention locally made cheeses, freshly grown veggies, fruits and berries. Or enjoy a simple, yet deliciously prepared lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, as diverse as the regions of the Adirondacks.

Lake George Restaurants

Dinner is an affair all its own. Family friendly restaurants offer a welcoming and cozy atmosphere year-round. Foodies can indulge their inner gourmand with haute cuisine beautifully prepared at one of our top restaurants. Savor a glass of wine from some of the best wine cellars in New York state or try locally brewed award-winning ale.

Keep your eye out for old-fashioned Creemee soft-serve ice cream parlors, artisan bakeries and farm stands selling locally produced delicacies.

Chefs' cultivate relationships with local farmers to provide exquisite seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Many of our residents embrace the farm-to-fork movement, and farmers' markets are some of our favorite Adirondacks events.
