Epic Skiing & Riding in the Adirondacks

The Adirondack Region's alpine ski areas offer a wide range of downhill skiing and snowboarding opportunities. The Adirondack Park is located in Northern New York, ridged in mountains that stretch into some of the highest elevations in the northeast - making for excellent downhill skiing conditions. The Adirondacks' ski resorts are unique in that they are a comparable experience to skiing at the bigger resorts in the west, yet are affordable, easy to get to, and boast family-friendly terrain that everyone can enjoy.

If there's only one thing we can lay claim to here in the Adirondacks, it's that we do winter vacations extremely well. Sure, we've got 2,000 miles of hiking, trophy fishing, and a reputation for epic trips and deep lakes, but winter? Winter is when the Adirondack Mountains pull out all the stops.

The Adirondack Region's ski resorts are treasured places, the mountains of first tracks at dawn, races to the base lodge, and stories that fill every turn, tuck, and huck in between. We're not just talking backcountry skin-up, ski down treks, or bunny slope victories, we're talking about some of the best skiing in the Northeast, period.

These are New York mountains, where beginners who have never been on skis before begin a lifelong passion for carving turns and taking GoPro worthy spills before getting back up, brushing off, and going again. This is where all you intermediate and expert skiers and riders conquer the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies, and crush trails marked in diamonds.

This is the Adirondacks, NY. This is where winter comes to play at ski resorts that offer terrain for all abilities. This is the place for heroic ski days. These are days everyone from your four-year-old to your grandmother will be talking about until spring comes again.
