A short, easy to moderate hike to a spectacular panorama of Lake George. The Pinnacle, a 73-acre preserve, is a hiking trail five minutes outside of Bolton Landing maintained by the Lake George Land Conservancy.
A local landmark highly visible from Cat Mountain and Lake George, the Pinnacle hiking trail follows an old logging road .75 mile to the summit at about 1,300-feet. The elevation change is about 480 feet.
The Pinnacle offers stunning, 270-degree views of the Tongue Mountain Range, Buck Mountain, Shelving Rock, Dome Island, the Sagamore, and the Narrows.
Mountain biking is allowed on the trail. Please walk your bike to the dirt road and be respectful of all hikers.
