Located on the southeast shore of 314-acre Eighth Lake, this campground offers great fishing for lake trout and small mouth bass with special salmon ponds nearby. Camping sites for tents and RV's afford privacy as they are well forested. Enjoy lake swimming, hiking, canoeing and boating, fishing and bicycling. Amenities include 126 sites, picnic area with tables and fireplaces, flush toilets, hot showers, trailer dump station, recycling center, mobility-impaired accessibility, sand beach as well as DEC canoe and boat rentals. Of historic interest is the fact that the Civilian Conservation Corps first established this in 1933 with the campground opening to the public in 1935.
