Camp Loony

Camp Loony

Search no further, you've found an excellent home for your Adirondack vacation! The home is great for family reunions and other group functions, up to 10 people. There are 4 private bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed and private full bath and the den with futon but no private bath, you will not find this in any comparable rental, instead you will find rooms with multiple beds jammed into rooms, sharing one or two bathrooms. There is sleeping space for 10, from the large dock to the sun room and large living room which are both just feet away from the lake. The home is 3200 square feet and sits on 1.25 acres with 475 feet of lake front. It is very secluded from other camps around the lake so if you are looking for privacy, this is the place! The home is in the style of traditional Adirondack lodges/great camps with authentic ADK furniture and styling throughout. The large professional kitchen is fully stocked and even has 2 stoves! You will also find all of the conveniences of your home kitchen with a large stainless fridge, dishwasher, microwave and seating so you can entertain friends and family while making your feasts. The open floor plan (kitchen, dining room, living room and sun room) also allows for entertaining and makes relaxing in any room a breeze. There are 3 canoes (2 full size and 1 solo), a tandem kayak and a row boat for exploring the beautiful and private lake (no public access.) We can not allow outside boats, no exceptions. We have patio furniture and ADK chairs in the yard for BBQ's and to just sit around with friends and family. Take a day trip to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Tupper Lake (the Wild Center) or even Montreal. There are some great restaurants in town, lots of cool shops and many tourist attractions. Maybe take a trip back in time and ride the rails on the ADK Railroad. The Wild Center is a nature museum which is fun for the whole family and is located about 35 minutes away. Even closer is the Paul Smith's Visitors Interpretive Center which is a great place to see wildlife in nature and learn about the local ecology. We have a TV room with a DVD player (there is no TV reception and only a small collection of DVD's so bring a few for rainy days.) There are a couple board games and I'm told the house is great for Hide and Seek. I could write for days about all of the things you can do while staying here, but instead I will leave a little to your imagination. One thing that is for certain, you will enjoy your stay! We look forward to hearing from you...
