An official Path Through History Site! Tour the museum campus exploring the causes and effects of the War of 1812, and the Battle of Plattsburgh. It was at the Battle of Plattsburgh that the British advance into the northern states was stopped. The Battle of Plattsburgh Association interprets and displays artifacts and materials significant to this battle and the entire War of 1812 era. Learn the stories of the battles here and the significant role they played in the final peace negotiations through chronologically arranged exhibitions.
